Mohammad Wasim Jnr: “Amir’s induction is a huge plus as he is a very fine bowler”

Pakistan speedster Mohammad Wasim Jnr said having left-arm seamer Mohammad Amir in the Quetta Gladiators team “is a huge plus” as he is a “very fine bowler.”
Amir retired from international cricket in December 2020, but has since reversed that decision and is now available to play for Pakistan again.
In the 2024 Pakistan Super League (PSL), he took 10 wickets in nine matches for the Gladiators at an average of 28.60 and an economy rate of 8.41.
Wasim Jnr, meanwhile, claimed nine wickets in eight games at an average of 33 and an economy rate of 9.90.
Given the impact the 31-year-old has had for the franchise, Wasim Jnr sees Amir as a useful asset.
“Amir’s induction is a huge plus as he is a very fine bowler,” he was quoted as saying by Geo Super.
Pakistan’s next assignment will be a five-match T20I series against New Zealand, which will be held in Rawalpindi and Lahore from April 18 to 27.
