Sikandar Raza: “Khawaja Nafay… He played one brilliant inning against us and I thought the boy’s got something about him”

Zimbabwe all-rounder Sikandar Raza believes there is something special about up-and-coming Pakistan batsman Khawaja Nafay.
Raza got the chance to see the 22-year-old in action in the 2024 Pakistan Super League (PSL) while representing the Lahore Qalandars.
Nafay played for the Quetta Gladiators in PSL 9 and amassed 182 runs in 10 matches, which included a top score of 60 not out against the Gladiators, at an average of 22.75 and a strike-rate of 121.33.
“Khawaja Nafay… He played one brilliant inning against us and I thought the boy’s got something about him,” Raza told PakPassion.
In PSL 9, Raza scored 91 runs in eight games for the Qalandars at an average of 15.16 and a strike-rate of 133.82.
He also took three wickets at an average of 50.33 and an economy rate of 8.38.
Pakistan’s next assignment will be a five-match T20I series against New Zealand, which will take place in Rawalpindi and Lahore from April 18 to 27.
