Moin Khan, the former Pakistan captain, said wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan deserves all the rewards he has gotten as he has put in an incredible amount of hard work.
Since overtaking Sarfaraz Ahmed as the first-choice wicketkeeper-batsman, Rizwan has not looked back and has delivered consistent performances to cement his place in the squad in all three formats.
Currently, the Peshawar native averages 40.40 in Tests, 40.15 in ODIs and 48.86 in T20Is.
“Rizwan worked hard and is reaping the rewards now,” Moin was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.
Rizwan recently captained the Multan Sultans in the 2024 Pakistan Super League (PSL) and finished as the third-highest run-scorer with 407 runs in 12 games, which included four fifties, at an average of 33.91 and a strike-rate of 122.22.
The Sultans qualified for their fourth consecutive PSL final, but lost to Islamabad United by two wickets.
