Islamabad United captain Shadab Khan said he was glad he secured the services of emerging Pakistan pace bowler Hunain Shah for the 2024 Pakistan Super League (PSL) as he had been “performing consistently for the past two seasons.”

Hunain is the brother of Naseem Shah, who is a key member of Pakistan’s pace attack in all three formats.

Having done a solid job in domestic cricket as of late, the 20-year-old was keen to make a big splash in PSL 9 as he knew it could take him a step closer to earning a call-up to the Pakistan team.

“Hunain has been performing consistently for the past two seasons,” Shadab was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.
