Pakistan power-hitter Iftikhar Ahmed said he is unfazed when getting hit by the cricket ball as it happens to him all the time in the nets.
Iftikhar is known for being a tough-as-nails batsman who can single-handed win games as he possesses a wide range of high-scoring shots in his arsenal.
The 33-year-old is currently one of Pakistan’s go-to finishers in T20I cricket and is also utilised as a part-time bowler since he can provide useful breakthroughs or slow the opposition team’s run rate.
“I am used to getting hit, I get hit all the time in the nets,” he was quoted as saying by PakPassion.
Iftikhar recently represented the Multan Sultans in the 2024 Pakistan Super League (PSL) and played a pivotal role in their run to the final, where they lost to Islamabad United by two wickets.
In the 12 matches he played, he scored 259 runs, which included a top score of 60 not out, at an average of 64.75 and a strike-rate of 193.28.
