
Mohammad Amir on Babar Azam: “I actually bowled him a bouncer and he said that the ball had skidded off the pitch and he couldn’t read it”

Pakistan left-arm fast bowler Mohammad Amir revealed star batsman Babar Azam told him that he “couldn’t read” his bouncer as the ball “skidded off the pitch.”
This occurred during the ongoing 2024 Pakistan Super League (PSL), where Amir is representing the Quetta Gladiators while Azam is captaining the Peshawar Zalmi.
For Amir, he was glad to have tested the 29-year-old, who is considered to be one of the best batsmen in the world.
“I actually bowled him a bouncer and he said that the ball had skidded off the pitch and he couldn’t read it,” he was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.
In PSL 9, Amir has picked up four wickets in four games at an average of 34.50 and an economy rate of 8.62.
Azam, meanwhile, has scored 330 runs in five matches, which includes a century and two fifties, at an average of 82.50 and a strike-rate of 151.37.
