Mohammad Akram, the Peshawar Zalmi’s director of cricket and bowling coach, has backed explosive top order batsman Mohammad Haris to “play good cricket” in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Haris is one of the most exciting big-hitting talents in the country and has showcased his firepower on many occasions, both at the domestic and international level.
However, the 22-year-old hasn’t been anywhere near his best in PSL 9 thus far, having mustered 46 runs in five matches at an average of 11.50 and a strike-rate of 115.
Despite this, Akram is confident that the young rising star will bounce back from his slow start and put on a show in the remaining matches.
“Mohammad Haris has matured and will play good cricket,” he was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.
