New Zealand batsman Colin Munro has called Pakistan T20I captain Shaheen Shah Afridi “an outstanding bowler.”

Afridi is one of the top bowlers in the world as he takes wickets in all three formats and regularly provides early breakthroughs with the new ball.

His form was a bit of a concern during the three-match Test series against Australia as he took eight wickets in two games at an average of 41.62.

However, he looked a lot better when making his debut as T20I skipper in the five-match T20I series against New Zealand as he claimed nine wickets at an average of 19.22 and an economy rate of 8.94.

“He is an outstanding bowler,” Munro was quoted as saying by NDTV.

Afridi is now captaining the Lahore Qalandars in the 2024 Pakistan Super League (PSL), while Munro is representing Islamabad United.
