Shaheen Shah Afridi has said that fellow Pakistan seamer Haris Rauf is “quicker” than him and Naseem Shah.
The trio are Pakistan’s go-to fast bowlers in ODIs and T20Is, and have enjoyed plenty of success as they each have their own unique skills and capabilities.
In Rauf’s case, Afridi pointed out that he utilises his blistering pace, which can reach speeds above 150 kph, to have a huge impact.
“Haris is quicker than us and impacts with his pace,” he told AFP as quoted by Cricket Pakistan.
Afridi and Rauf are currently playing in the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup, with the former having taken 10 wickets in five matches at an average of 25.10.
Rauf, meanwhile, has picked up eight wickets at an average of 35.75.
Naseem was ruled out of the tournament after suffering a shoulder injury during the Asia Cup.
Pakistan won their first two World Cup games against the Netherlands and Sri Lanka, but have not had any success since then as they lost to India, Australia and Afghanistan.
Currently on a three-game losing streak, the men in green will be hoping to snap it when they go up against South Africa on October 27 in Chennai.
