Deep Dasgupta: “We do talk a lot about Shahen Afridi and of course Naseem Shah. But Haris Rauf, to me, is the best among the three because he can take wickets at every stage of the match”

Deep Dasgupta, the former India batsman, believes that Pakistan pace bowler Haris Rauf is better than Shaheen Shah Afridi and Naseem Shah.
Afridi and Naseem open the bowling for Pakistan and cause batsmen a lot of trouble with their swing and exceptional line and length.
However, Dasgupta rates Rauf above them due to the fact that he “can take wickets at every stage of the match.”
On top of this, the 29-year-old is extremely fast as he is capable of hitting speeds above 150 kph.
“We do talk a lot about Shahen Afridi and of course Naseem Shah. But Haris Rauf, to me, is the best among the three because he can take wickets at every stage of the match,” Dasgupta was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.
“You give him the new ball, he will pick wickets, you get him in the middle overs, he will deliver. You get him at the death, he will pick wickets. So for me, he is the key there. You just throw the ball to him and he will get you wickets.”
Rauf is currently playing in the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup and has taken eight wickets in five games at an average of 35.75.
Pakistan began their campaign with successive wins over the Netherlands and Sri Lanka before succumbing to defeats at the hands of India, Australia and Afghanistan.
Having lost three games in a row, the men in green will be desperate to claim a big win when they take on South Africa on October 27 in Chennai.
