Former Pakistan wicketkeeper-batsman Rashid Latif has made it clear that Sarfaraz Ahmed still has a chance to represent his country again.

This comes after Sarfaraz was picked for the recent tour of England, but only featured in one T20 International.

With Mohammad Rizwan being Pakistan’s first-choice wicketkeeper right now, many people feel that Sarfaraz’s international career is coming to an end.

But, Latif insisted that “the chapter of Sarfaraz isn’t closed yet”.

“If Shoaib Malik and Mohammad Hafeez can play, then Sarfaraz can play as well. The chapter of Sarfaraz isn’t closed yet. Many players get dropped and make a comeback. So he should be tried in at least one format,” Latif said on his YouTube channel as quoted by Cricket Pakistan.
