Former Pakistan captain Ramiz Raja believes that batsman Iftikhar Ahmed was the “only positive” in the national team’s recently concluded Twenty20 series against Australia.

Iftikhar amassed 108 runs in the recently concluded three-match Twenty20 series against Australia, which included a career-best score of 62 not out, at an average of 108 and a strike-rate of 150.

Iftikhar finished unbeaten on one in the first Twenty20 Internationals, which was abandoned due to rain, before smashing a 34-ball 62 in the second game, which Australia won by seven wickets.

He followed that up with a 37-ball 45 in the third Twenty20 International, which Australia won by 10 wickets.

“Iftikhar was the only positive here and his batting is good because he has all the shots and doesn’t pre-empt,” Ramiz said in a YouTube video as quoted by cricketpakistan.com.pk.
