Pakistan all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez: “I am unaware of any notice from the FBR. I have no idea why such news is being spread. I file my tax returns every year without fail”

Pakistan all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez has made it clear that he is not in trouble with the tax authorities for failing to declare assets worth Rs 170 million.

Hafeez has defended himself after rumours surfaced that he received a show cause notice from the Federal Bureau of Revenue (FBR) over the concealment of assets.

“I am unaware of any notice from the FBR,” Hafeez was quoted as saying by the Business Recorder. “I have no idea why such news is being spread.

“I file my tax returns every year without fail.”
