Khushdil Shah has made it clear that he plans to put his power hitting on display during Pakistan’s Twenty20 series against Australia next month.
Khushdil was picked for the series, which will take place from November 3 to 8, after impressing on the domestic circuit.
The 24-year-old has struck 82 sixes in 54 List A games, where he has amassed 2,086 runs, which includes eight centuries and 10 fifties, at an average of 47.40.
He has also featured in 33 Twenty20s, where he has hammered 29 maximums and accumulated 630 runs, which includes five half-centuries, at an average of 23.33.
“I am thrilled at my inclusion in the national T20 squad,” he was quoted as saying by PakPassion. “I want to replicate my domestic cricket performances at the international level. My style of batting has always been aggressive; I will enter the international arena with the same mindset.
“In domestic cricket, I have played alongside Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Rizwan and Iftikhar Ahmed. Having them around in Australia will be a great help.”
