Pakistan pace bowler Hasan Ali could be in doubt for the upcoming tour of Australia as he is still recovering from a back injury.

Hasan missed the recent three-match ODI series and three-match Twenty20 series against Sri Lanka in Karachi and Lahore respectively due to his back problem.

Since he has not been participating in the National T20 Cup, there are concerns about whether he will be fit in time for the tour of Australia, which will consist of three Twenty20 Internationals from November 3 to 8, and two Tests from November 21 to December 3.

“He is still nursing pain in his back and has not yet recovered fully to compete in competitive cricket,” The Nation quoted a source saying. “At the moment, Hasan is not taking part in gym training and bowling practice, and the experts attached with him are reviewing his condition every two days. There is no improvement in his condition and he still needs treatment and rehabilitation.”

Hasan struggled during the World Cup earlier this year, where he took two wickets in four matches at a dismal average of 128 and had an economy rate of 7.75.
