Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed has revealed that spinner Shadab Khan needs the fans’ support as he is currently going through a “bad patch”.

In the ongoing limited overs series against Sri Lanka, Shadab took three wickets in the three-match ODI series at an average of 42. However, it should be noted that the first ODI was washed out due to persistent rain.

In the first of three Twenty20 Internationals, which was held in Lahore on Saturday, Shadab finished with figures of 1-35 off his four overs.

Despite admitting that Shadab is struggling at the moment, Sarfaraz firmly believes that the 21-year-old will bounce back.

“Shadab is fine but he is going through a bad patch right now, he needs your support and he is a bowler who in the past has put in good performances for Pakistan,” Sarfaraz was quoted as saying by PakPassion.
