Afghanistan captain Rashid Khan took three wickets to leave his side four wickets away from victory against Bangladesh on the fourth day in Chattogram.

Starting off the day on 237/8, Afghanistan added 23 runs to their overnight score before Yamin Ahmadzai was run out for nine runs.

Afghanistan ended up being bowled out for 260, which set Bangladesh 398 to win, when debutant Zahir Khan was dismissed by Mehidy Hasan Miraz for a duck.

Afsar Zazai was left stranded on 48, which came off 110 balls and included three boundaries and a six.

Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan was the pick of the bowlers with three wickets, while Mehidy, Taijul Islam and Nayeem Hasan chipped in with two wickets apiece.

Chasing 398 to win, Bangladesh lost Liton Das in the 11th over as he was trapped lbw off the bowling of Zahir for nine runs.

Rashid joined the party by removing Mushfiqur Rahim and Mominul Haque, while Mohammad Nabi sent Shadman Islam packing for 41.

Mahmudullah was the next to go as he fell to Rashid after scoring seven runs.

Shakib and Soumya Sarkar managed to amass an unbeaten 11-run partnership before rain brought play to an end for the day.

Shakib finished on 39, which came off 46 balls and included four boundaries, while Sarkar has yet to get off the mark.

Rashid was the most successful bowler with three wickets, while Zahir took two and Nabi claimed one.

Bangladesh ended day four on 136/6 and will continue batting on Monday at 09:30 local time or 03:30 GMT.
