Pakistan all-rounder Imad Wasim has admitted that he has no interest in representing his country in Test cricket.
Despite being a regular face in Pakistan’s limited overs squads, Imad noted that due to the injuries he has suffered in the past, he has no desire to play the longest format.
Imad added that if he were to play Test cricket, it would shorten his playing career.
“Test cricket is not something I would like to pursue as part of my career,” Imad told The Cricket Paper as quoted by PakPassion. “Due to my history of injuries, I would rather just play white-ball cricket as I do not think I would be able to last the duration of a Test match.
“Playing white-ball cricket is the best option for me and will also allow me to extend my career longer and that way I can also serve Pakistan for a longer period of time.”
