Yasir Shah: “Saddened by the announcement of Mohammad Amir regarding [his] retirement from Test cricket”

Pakistan spinner Yasir Shah admitted that he was “saddened” by the fact that left-arm seamer Mohammad Amir retired from Test cricket so suddenly.

Amir retired from the longest format of the game in order to focus on limited overs cricket.

Many were surprised by his decision to walk away from Test cricket at the age of 27, including Yasir.

“Saddened by the announcement of Mohammad Amir regarding [his] retirement from Test cricket. No doubt a legend [has] withdrawn himself from his playground,” Yasir said on Twitter.
