Pakistan spin-bowling all-rounder Imad Wasim believes that while Bangladesh are a good team, the men in green are more than capable of defeating them at Lord’s on Friday.
Pakistan defeated Afghanistan by three wickets in a thrilling encounter at Headingley on Saturday.
However, if they want to have any chance of qualifying for the World Cup semi-finals, they have to beat Bangladesh.
While Imad knows that will be easier said than done, he believes his side can get the job done.
“Bangladesh is also a very good side and they’re performing well,” Imad was quoted as saying by PakPassion. “If we play to our potential, we can defeat any side in the world. I’m not saying that just for the presser, this is our team’s belief.
“We have 11 out of 11 match-winners in the team and four match-winners on the bench. I don’t think we’re scared of any side, such wins give us confidence. Now we believe we can win from any situation.”
With Pakistan having defeated Afghanistan, they will now have to beat Bangladesh at Lord’s on Friday to have any chance of reaching the last four.
