Pakistan left-arm seamer Wahab Riaz has insisted that he will be fit to play against Bangladesh on Friday.
Wahab’s comments come after he played with a broken little finger on his right hand in Pakistan’s World Cup clash against Afghanistan at Headingley on Saturday.
Wahab took two wickets and scored a vital 15 runs as the men in green beat Afghanistan by three wickets and kept their hopes of qualifying for the World Cup semi-finals alive.
Having excelled against Afghanistan, Wahab made it clear that he will be available for selection when Pakistan take on Bangladesh at Lord’s.
“I was in a lot of pain today. But if I managed to play today then I can play against Bangladesh as well,” Wahab was quoted as saying by The News International.
Pakistan have to beat Bangladesh on Friday in order to have any chance of reaching the last four.
