New Zealand captain Kane Williamson believes that Pakistan spinner Shadab Khan is “bowling well” after he dismissed him on Wednesday.
Williamson, who has been in red-hot form in the World Cup, was caught behind off a terrific delivery from Shadab for 41.
Speaking about it, Williamson was quoted by PakPassion as saying: “Nice wasn’t it (Shadab’s delivery to dismiss him)? He’s bowling well and it was obviously taking a lot of turn out there.”
Pakistan went on to win the match by six wickets, which kept their hopes of qualifying for the World Cup semi-finals alive and handed New Zealand their first loss in the tournament.
Pakistan’s next World Cup match will be against Afghanistan at Headingley on Saturday.
If they beat Afghanistan, Pakistan will then have to take down Bangladesh at Lord’s on July 5 in order to have any chance of reaching the last four.
However, even if they defeat Afghanistan and Bangladesh, it might not be enough as they will have to rely on the results of other matches.
