Renowned cricket commentator Mark Nicholas admitted that “you can’t help but feel pleased for” Pakistan left-arm seamer Mohammad Amir.
Nicholas’ comments come after Amir dismissed South Africa opener Hashim Amla and captain Faf du Plessis for two and 63 respectively in his side’s 49-run win over the Proteas at the World Cup on Sunday.
In addition to leading to side to victory over South Africa, Amir also became the joint-highest wicket-taker in the World Cup with 15 victims at an average of 14.60.
Nicholas admitted that he is delighted for Amir as he has been through ups and downs throughout his career, but has bounced back every time.
