Former Pakistan captain Salman Butt believes that the national team could make many changes to their squad for their World Cup clash against South Africa on Sunday.

One big change Salman thinks could happen is pace bowler Hasan Ali being replaced by fellow seamer Mohammad Hasnain.

Hasan has only taken two wickets in four matches at a dismal average of 128, while Hasnain has yet to make his World Cup debut.

“I seriously think that the changes are imminent [for Pakistan] for [their] very important match against South Africa,” Salman told The Nation. “I think the team management may opt to rest Hasan Ali and give a chance to youngster Mohammad Hasnain as it is time the youngster should be given a go and his extra pace may do wonders for the team.”
