A member of the Pakistan Cricket Board’s Board of Governors lashed out at Inzamam-ul-Haq for coaching the World Cup squad

A member at the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) Board of Governors meeting on Wednesday criticised the fact that chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq was coaching the World Cup team.

According to The News International, the member questioned why Inzamam was coaching the side when there are coaching staff that are hired exactly for that purpose.

In response, another member, who seemed to defend Inzamam, said he was doing nothing more than giving tips to the players.

However, the member who raised the issue pointed out that there is a big difference between giving tips and coaching as Inzamam was seen on the pitch coaching the side.

Pakistan have endured a disastrous World Cup campaign as they have won just one of the five games they have played thus far.

As a result, speculation is rife that head coach Mickey Arthur and Inzamam will lose their jobs after the tournament concludes next month.

Pakistan’s next World Cup match will be against South Africa at Lord’s on Sunday.
