Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed has admitted that there were a few positives from his side’s 41-run loss to Australia in the World Cup on Wednesday.
Sarfraz pointed out that one of the bright spots of the match was left-arm seamer Mohammad Amir’s maiden five-wicket haul in ODIs.
In addition to Amir, Sarfraz was impressed with the bat in which Hasan Ali and Wahab Riaz fought while Pakistan were chasing 308 to win as they smashed a 15-ball 32 and a 39-ball 45 respectively.
“If you take [the] positives in this match, it was Mohammad Amir who bowled well and after that, Wahab Riaz and Hasan Ali batted well,” Sarfraz was quoted as saying by PakPassion.
Pakistan’s next World Cup game will be against India in Manchester on Sunday.
