Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed has admitted that his side will have to “overcome our mistakes” if they want to beat India in their highly-anticipated World Cup clash on Sunday.

Pakistan will play India in Manchester, and the men in green will be looking to snap their winless streak against their arch-rivals as India have triumphed in their six World Cup meetings to date.

However, Pakistan can take confidence from the fact that they demolished India by 180 runs in the Champions Trophy final in 2017.

But, Sarfraz’s side will be going into the match on a low as they lost to Australia by 41 runs on Wednesday.

“We have to overcome our mistakes because India are also a very strong team,” he was quoted as saying by the Business Recorder. “We will assess our performance and then we will plan.”
