Legendary Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi lauded his Indian counterpart Yuvraj Singh after the latter announced his retirement from international cricket and the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Yuvraj last played for India in June 2017, while he featured for the Mumbai Indians in this year’s IPL, which they won.
The 37-year-old attributed his decision to retire on the fact that he felt it was time to “move on”.
Having faced Yuvraj on many occasions, Afridi called him an “amazing batsman” and “brilliant fielder”. He also praised him for his “fighting ability”.
