For the second straight day, the rain had the last laugh as Sri Lanka and Bangladesh’s World Cup clash in Bristol was washed out without a ball being bowled.
Not even a toss could take place due to the inclement weather, which also led to the West Indies and South Africa’s match in Southampton being abandoned.
As a result of the washout, both teams received one point.
Sri Lanka are currently fifth on the points table with four points from four games, while Bangladesh are seventh with three points in four matches.
Sri Lanka’s next match will be against Australia at The Oval on Saturday, while Bangladesh will take on the West Indies in Taunton on Monday.
