Pakistan all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez has revealed that confidence levels are high in the dressing room due to the national team’s World Cup win over England.
Hafeez was named Man of the Match in that game as he hammered a 62-ball 84 and took the wicket of captain Eoin Morgan.
Thanks to Hafeez, Pakistan won the match by 14 runs and got their World Cup campaign back on track after they lost their opening game to the West Indies by seven wickets.
“We didn’t start well against the West Indies but the way we performed against England has boosted our morale and confidence has returned to our dressing room,” he told Geo.tv.
“When you perform and contribute in the team’s success, you’re automatically boosted and I can see this in the dressing room. Players are energetic about the tournament.”
Pakistan’s next World Cup match will be against Australia in Taunton on Wednesday.
