Veteran all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez thanked the Pakistan fans for their constant support after his side’s World Cup win over England.

Hafeez was named Man of the Match for his 62-ball 84 and taking the wicket of England captain Eoin Morgan.

Pakistan’s 14-run win over the World Cup hosts, who are considered one of the frontrunners to win the tournament, also enabled them to snap their 11-game losing streak in ODIs.

“Whenever we come to the UK, we always get good support, they really back us every time – it’s like a home to us. Thank you everyone for coming in large numbers and hopefully wherever we go, it will be the same,” Hafeez was quoted as saying by PakPassion.

Pakistan’s next World Cup game will be against Sri Lanka in Bristol on Friday.
