Legendary Pakistan left-arm seamer Wasim Akram has praised all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez for his performance in the national team’s World Cup win over England on Monday.
Hafeez was named Man of the Match for his 62-ball 84, which included eight boundaries and two sixes.
He also dismissed England captain Eoin Morgan as Pakistan won the match by 14 runs.
“Hafeez played confidently because he knew there [was] batting left after him too,” Wasim said on Geo’s segment “Swing Ka Sultan”.
Pakistan’s next World Cup match will be against Sri Lanka in Bristol on Friday.
