Pakistan pace bowler Hasan Ali believes the national team were able to snap their 11-game losing streak in ODIs since everyone believed in themselves.
Pakistan snapped their longest losing streak in the format when they beat England by 14 runs in the World Cup on Monday.
Hasan admitted that the team were gutted to have lost 11 ODIs in a row, but insisted that their determination to end the streak ultimately paid off.
“We were very disappointed we lost 11 ODI games in a row but one thing is very important, we believed in ourselves. We needed just a little bit of a kick, and we got the kick. We are very confident, our team is very good and balanced,” Hasan was quoted as saying by PakPassion.
Pakistan’s next World Cup match will be against Sri Lanka in Bristol on Friday.
