Veteran India batsman Suresh Raina has already predicted that the national team will beat Pakistan in their highly-anticipated World Cup clash.

India will play their arch-rivals on June 16 in Manchester, and they will be looking to extend their winning streak over the men in green.

India have triumphed in all six of their World Cup meetings against Pakistan.

However, India were demolished by 180 runs when they took on Pakistan in the Champions Trophy final in 2017.

Despite this, Raina firmly believes that India will come out on top later this month.

“I do not think that at this point of time, any of the players will be thinking about the Pakistan match because we need to do well in our initial matches and if we will be able to win those matches then I do not think there will be an issue for the Pakistan match,” he was quoted as saying by The Indian Express.

“But in case we lose some of the matches, then I can say that there will be pressure on India for the Pakistan match, but if we win the first three matches then I do not think our World Cup record is going to break and Pakistan cannot beat us.”
