Pakistan seamer Hasan Ali has admitted that he and the rest of the bowlers need to take wickets as regularly as possible in order to help the team win matches at the World Cup.

Pakistan struggled to take wickets during their recent five-match ODI series against England, which they lost 4-0.

However, despite being faced with the prospect of flat pitches that will favour the batsmen, Hasan noted that Pakistan’s bowling attack has to find ways to get breakthroughs in their World Cup matches.

“The way modern cricket is going, every bowler needs to know that taking wickets is the key. You take wickets and you win matches,” Hasan was quoted as saying by Sport24.

Pakistan will kick off their World Cup campaign against the West Indies in Nottingham on Friday.
