Chelsea superstar David Luiz has wished Pakistan spinner Imad Wasim good luck for the World Cup, which begins in England and Wales on Thursday.

Pakistan have not been at their best in ODIs heading into the showpiece event as they were beaten 3-2 by South Africa and whitewashed 5-0 by Australia.

In their most recent ODI series against England, which consisted of five matches, they were crushed 4-0.

Pakistan haven’t won the World Cup since 1992, but they will take confidence from the fact that they triumphed at the Champions Trophy in England in 2017.

“Imad Wasim, good luck for the cricket bro, I know you are so, so good, I hope you win and enjoy a lot, see you soon,” Luiz said in a video.

Pakistan will kick off their World Cup campaign against the West Indies in Nottingham on Friday.
