Former Pakistan wicketkeeper-batsman Moin Khan has revealed that Pakistan’s bowlers need to perform if the national team want to qualify for the semi-finals or even win the World Cup.

Moin’s comments come after Pakistan’s dismal bowling performances in the five-match ODI series against England.

Pakistan let England score 373/3 in the second ODI, failed to defend 358 in the third ODI and also couldn’t defend 340 in the fourth match on Friday.

To make matters worse, they also allowed England to make 351 in the fifth match.

“If the bowlers perform the way the batsmen are right now, I see Pakistan in the top four. I actually hope Pakistan can win the whole thing,” Moin was quoted as saying by cricketpakistan.com.pk.

Pakistan’s second World Cup warm-up game will be against Bangladesh in Cardiff on May 26.

They will then begin their World Cup campaign against the West Indies in Nottingham on May 31.
