Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed has revealed that the “atmosphere in the dressing room is very fine”.
Sarfraz’s comments come after Pakistan suffered a shock three-wicket loss to Afghanistan in their World Cup warm-up match on Friday.
While it was not the result they were hoping for, Sarfraz insists that there are no cracks or rifts forming in the Pakistan team ahead of the World Cup.
“The atmosphere in the dressing room is very fine. I think we need to discuss with the bowlers because our batsmen are scoring runs. We have to work on our bowling,” he was quoted as saying by Geo.tv.
Pakistan’s second World Cup warm-up game will be against Bangladesh in Cardiff on May 26.
They will then begin their World Cup campaign against the West Indies in Nottingham on May 31.
