Sarfraz Ahmed: “If you see the past record of Pakistan in England whether that’s 1992 Test series, 2009 World T20, 1999 World Cup [or] 2017 Champions Trophy, we are very confident we’ll do well in this World Cup”

Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed is “very confident” his side will do well in the World Cup given their strong performances in England in the past.
Pakistan have not won the World Cup since 1992, where the country’s current Prime Minister Imran Khan led the team to victory.
However, Pakistan can take confidence from the fact that they defied expectations to win the Champions Trophy in England in 2017.
“If you see the past record of Pakistan in England whether that’s 1992 Test series, 2009 World T20, 1999 World Cup [or] 2017 Champions Trophy, we are very confident we’ll do well in this World Cup,” Sarfraz was quoted as saying by PakPassion.
Pakistan will play two World Cup warm-up games against Afghanistan and Bangladesh in Bristol and Cardiff on May 24 and 26 respectively.
They will then begin their World Cup campaign against the West Indies in Nottingham on May 31.
