Imad Wasim: “With return of Shadab it will make a big difference as our combination will change so it’s a great thing for Pakistan”

Pakistan spinner Imad Wasim is excited about fellow spinner Shadab Khan’s return at the World Cup as he feels “it will make a big difference”.

Shadab, who was included in Pakistan’s World Cup squad, was recently diagnosed with Hepatitis C.

However, now that he has made a full recovery, he was declared fit for the World Cup, which begins in England and Wales on May 30.

“With return of Shadab it will make a big difference as our combination will change so it’s a great thing for Pakistan cricket that Shadab has returned,” Imad was quoted as saying by PakPassion.

After the ongoing five-match ODI series against England, which Shadab was ruled out of, Pakistan will play two World Cup warm-up games against Afghanistan and Bangladesh in Bristol and Cardiff on May 24 and 26 respectively.

They will then begin their World Cup campaign against the West Indies in Nottingham on May 31.
