Pakistan opener Imam-ul-Haq has vowed to do everything possible to maintain his good run of form at the World Cup.
Imam’s comments come after he scored a career-best 151 in the third ODI against England in Bristol on Tuesday, during which he broke a number of records.
The 23-year-old admitted that he gained a lot of confidence from that knock and is eager to keep making big scores at the World Cup.
“This innings has boosted my confidence. I will try to maintain this level of performance in the future matches and try to live up to the team management’s expectations,” he was quoted as saying by cricketpakistan.com.pk.
After the ongoing five-match ODI series against England, Pakistan will play two World Cup warm-up games against Afghanistan and Bangladesh in Bristol and Cardiff on May 24 and 26 respectively.
They will then begin their World Cup campaign against the West Indies in Nottingham on May 31.
