Former India captain Sourav Ganguly believes that Pakistan will do well at the World Cup as they have had a lot of success in England.

Pakistan have not won the World Cup since 1992, but they did triumph in the Champions Trophy in 2017, which was held in England.

It should also be noted that the men in green won the 2009 World Twenty20, which was hosted by England.

“Pakistan’s record in world tournaments in England is remarkable,” Ganguly was quoted as saying by Saj Sadiq on Twitter. “They won the Champions Trophy two years ago, they won the 2009 World T20 in England. They always play well in England.”

After the ongoing five-match ODI series against England, Pakistan will play two World Cup warm-up games against Afghanistan and Bangladesh in Bristol and Cardiff on May 24 and 26 respectively.

They will then begin their World Cup campaign against the West Indies in Nottingham on May 31.
