Pakistan batsman Fawad Alam has insisted that he isn’t angry about not being picked for the World Cup, which begins in England and Wales on May 30.
Instead of being bitter, Fawad made it clear that his “prayers and best wishes” are with the national team going into the tournament.
Alam hasn’t represented Pakistan since April 2015, but he isn’t giving up on his international career.
“I am not disappointed,” he told Geo.tv. “These all are players representing Pakistan. My prayers and best wishes are with them that they do well and bring glory to Pakistan.
“I will play when it is in my fate but, right now, my support is with players who are picked for the tournament.”
Pakistan will begin their World Cup campaign against the West Indies in Nottingham on May 31.
