Pakistan chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq has admitted that some players “are still in with a shout” in regards to the finalised World Cup squad.

Pakistan announced their World Cup team last month, but they are allowed to make changes without permission from the International Cricket Council (ICC) until May 23.

Currently, the players that weren’t picked and are vying for a spot are playing in the ongoing five-match ODI series against England.

“Although we have announced our World Cup squad, a couple of players are still in with a shout if they perform well in the upcoming matches,” Inzamam was quoted as saying by cricketpakistan.com.pk.

Pakistan will kick off their World Cup campaign against the West Indies in Nottingham on May 31.
