Former Pakistan wicketkeeper-batsman Moin Khan believes that captain Sarfraz Ahmed should bat “according to the team’s requirement”.
Sarfraz has batted at a number of different positions before, but recently said that he wanted to come in at four or five during the World Cup.
Moin, a former captain himself, feels that Sarfraz is capable of batting anywhere on the line-up and should come in higher or lower depending on the situation.
“He is a good captain and he can deliver,” Moin told Geo.tv. “As far as his batting position is concerned, I will say that it is up to Sarfraz to decide. He should come to bat according to the team’s requirement. He’s a player who can bat at any position and has proved it in past as well.”
Pakistan will kick off their World Cup campaign against the West Indies in Nottingham on May 31.
