Ex-Pakistan skipper Ramiz Raja believes that left-arm seamer Junaid Khan should be picked ahead of pace bowling all-rounder Faheem Ashraf in the limited overs series against England as he “has variation in pace”.

Junaid and Faheem are both in Pakistan’s squad for the limited overs series against England and the World Cup.

Pakistan’s limited overs series against England will consist of a one-off Twenty20 International and five ODIs, and run from May 5 to 19.

“Junaid has variation in pace while Faheem keeps on bowling at middle length [at] 138km/h to 142km/h which becomes easy for batsmen to hit hard. I think Junaid can be lethal for the green shirts against England,” Ramiz was quoted as saying by arysports.tv.

Pakistan will kick off their World Cup campaign against the West Indies in Nottingham on May 31.
