Five Pakistan players are understood to have failed a fitness test during the recently concluded ODI series against Australia in the United Arab Emirates.

According to Geo News, the players are opener Abid Ali, batsman Umar Akmal, all-rounder Imad Wasim, pace bowler Mohammad Hasnain and spinner Yasir Shah.

Abid made his debut in the fourth ODI, where he scored a magnificent 112.

However, even though he was dismissed for a golden duck in the fifth ODI, he still finished with 112 runs at an average of 56.

Akmal scored 150 runs in five matches at an average of 30, while Wasim accumulated 141 runs at an average of 70.50 and took three wickets at an average of 83.66.

Like Abid, Hasnain also made his debut during the series and claimed two wickets in three matches at an average of 78.

As for Yasir, he picked up four wickets in five games at an average of 70.75.
