Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) managing director Wasim Khan has revealed that Sri Lanka could tour Pakistan in the near future.

While nothing has been confirmed as of yet, Wasim is optimistic that the series will be arranged.

Sri Lanka did visit Pakistan in 2017 as they played a Twenty20 International in Lahore on October 29.

“We are striving to make an international tour by [the] Sri Lanka team to Pakistan possible. We are hopeful it will go through,” he was quoted as saying by PakPassion. “The return of international cricket is our first priority. We should look ahead and not to the past.”

In addition to Sri Lanka, the West Indies have also toured Pakistan as they played a three-match Twenty20 series in Karachi in April 2018.
