Mitchell Starc continued to torment the Sri Lankan batsman on the fourth day in Canberra as he took a five-wicket haul once again to lead Australia to a 366-run win.

Starting off the day on 17/0, Sri Lanka only added one run to their overnight score before opener Dimuth Karunaratne was clean bowled by Starc for eight runs.

Sri Lanka captain Dinesh Chandimal mustered four runs before he was caught by Marnus Labuschagne at third slip off the bowling of Starc.

Lahiru Thirimanne, who opened the batting with Karunaratne, managed to score 30 runs before he was caught and bowled by Pat Cummins.

Wicketkeeper Niroshan Dickwella made 24 runs before he was cleaned up by Starc, who had Kusal Perera caught behind the very next ball.

Jhye Richardson joined the party by dismissing Dhananjaya de Silva for six runs, while Labuschagne removed Kusal Mendis for 42.

Cummins then took out debutant Chamika Karunaratne and Dilruwan Perera for 22 and four runs respectively before Sri Lanka were skittled out for 149 when Starc clean bowled Vishwa Fernando for a duck.

Starc was the pick of the bowlers with five wickets, while Cummins snapped up three, and Richardson and Labuschagne claimed one wicket each.

Starc was named Man of the Match for taking 10 wickets in total.
