Pakistan pace bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi is confident that his side can take a 2-1 lead over South Africa in the third ODI in Centurion on January 25.
Afridi removed Hashim Amla, Reeza Hendricks and South Africa captain Faf du Plessis in quick succession in the second ODI in Durban, but despite his three-wicket burst, it was not enough to lead Pakistan to victory as the Proteas won by five wickets.
However, the 18-year-old noted that he and his teammates are ready for the third ODI, and will be looking to bounce back and claim the upper hand in the five-match series.
“We are ready for the next match and hopefully we will end up on the winning side,” he was quoted as saying by the Business Recorder.
When asked about his approach in the third ODI, he said: “My approach in this match will be to play aggressive cricket, and bowl good lines and lengths.”
